Well, social morality aside I liked the movie. I could agree that it would not be prudent for our society to embrace the attitude(s) portrayed by the protagonist.
I am going to throw rocks at you. I was not a fan of the first twenty minutes (too crude) but the rest of the movie I was in love with and I was reduced to tears by the end of it. Maybe it's just cause I'm adopted but I was glad to see Juno be mature enough to give her baby up to someone who desperately wanted a baby. An abortion or raising the baby herself would have been easier and less satisfying solutions.
I WANTED to like the movie. Really. I loved that here was a pro-adoption movie catering to a society that in general doesn't support giving up children for adoption as much as it should. But the movie failed me in so many ways. I didn't like how cavalierly everything was treated. I didn't like the way they talked, even as I appreciated how clever it was. I didn't like the soundtrack, while I still really liked the music they chose. I just felt like the movie was trying too hard to be awesome; they had their demographic down to a science and just plugged the correct variables into the equation.

I didn't like it either, no matter how hard I tried. And I did. I really did.
